Conrad Bora Bora Nui in French Polynesia is one of the aspiring resort properties in the world. The property is part of Hilton’s program and therefore you can use Hilton points to redeem for a free night stay there. This property is one of the Hilton’s top tier properties and the cash rate at this property can be $1,000/night easily. The approval of my offered a weekend reward night certificate and an automatic Diamond elite status with Hilton that can be super beneficial when it comes to staying at the Conrad property in Bora Bora. Using the weekend free night certificate along with the 5th night free on award stays with Hilton at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui were the way to go.
Overwater Room Upgrade
The standard award room starts at 89,000 Hilton points per night. Keep in mind that when it comes to award night stays with Hilton, you receive the 5th night free and Hilton does not charge resort/destination fees on award stays.
The standard award room type is King Garden View Suite. The Hilton weekend reward night certificate can also be used towards the standard award room. However, as a Hilton Diamond elite member, our room was complimentary upgraded to the King Overwater Villa. Prior to you stays, it’s worth contacting the property to inquire about the upgrade to the overwater room. You may be given cash upgrade options to upgrade based on your check-in dates and availability, or you may be given complimentary upgrade straight to an overwater villa. Continental Breakfast
The complimentary continental breakfast is part of the Hilton Diamond’s benefit, which can save several dollars when it comes to staying at the Conrad Bora Bora resort because the resort is not in town so you are going to be stuck at the resort eating and drinking there. The continental breakfast is a buffet style breakfast. The breakfast consists of variety of hot and cold food items along with some pastries and fruits. You also have the option to order a la cart menu which costs around $12 extra. Truthfully, the continental breakfast is plenty. They change things up every day from bacon, fish, shrimp, chicken, pork to spring rolls, congee and rice, etc. Try to get the seats that provides breathtaking views of the lagoon at the restaurant. You can’t complain when you are eating free breakfast with a view!
Late Check-out
Being a Hilton Diamond member, you can request for a late check-out. It is pretty common to leave later in the day as the resort requires a flight from the mainland Tahiti to Bora Bora, then a boat ride from Bora Bora’s airport to the resort. It was nice that the property allowed us to check out at 5PM in order to catch our late evening flight to Tahiti.

How far in advance did you email the resort for upgrade inquiries?
We did it a week prior, but we didn't really mind if we didn't get the overwater room. If you want a guaranteed upgrade, you should contact the property as soon as possible because the rate they quote to upgrade can fluctuate based on their overwater room's rate. Otherwise, if you are a diamond member, it's subject to the availability for complimentary upgrade.
