AMEX Customer Service Rep said that my Appeal for the Welcome Bonus was DECLINED.
Because I had the AMEX Hilton Surpass---I can NOT get the Welcome Bonus for: Hilton Aspire nor the
NO FEE Hilton---which is the card for which I am being DECLINED in getting my 70K points + Free Nite.
The Customer Service Rep said: You can ONLY get a bonus ONCE for a FAMILY of cards. In this case,
the Hilton Family. So you have to choose CAREFULLY as to WHICH card in a FAMILY you want. I had
chosen Surpass, then switched to the No Fee. Next year, I had planned to apply for the Aspire.
BUT I will NOT get any Welcome Bonuses.
Have you heard of this AMEX "Family Rule on Welcome Bonuses"??
I have had an AMEX Gold Card for 28 years. I only recently ditched that card, and began opening a variety of AMEX cards--to
do the Points & Miles hobby.
The Customer Service Reps say that they can NOT help me. HOW do i reach someone at AMEX who can help? Twitter? Facebook?
Could YOU please research this AMEX problem? and write about it? I thought there was ONLY a "once per lifetime" per card.

"Welcome offer not available to applicants who have or have had this Card. We may also consider the number of American Express Cards you have opened and closed as well as other factors in making a decision on your welcome offer eligibility."
I would call back and ask to speak to a supervisor until you can get someone that can tell you the exact reason as to why they declined your welcome bonus. You can also point them to the offer terms too. Simply call the number on the back of your Hilton no fee card. Good luck!
