Marriott All-Inclusive Resorts Are Now Bookable Using Marriott Bonvoy Points

UPDATE:

Marriott International made an announcement in 2019 on their acquisition of Tamarind by Elegant Hotels that feature all-inclusive resorts both family-friendly and adults only properties. This is definitely an exciting news because up to this point, the only two all-inclusive resorts under Marriott Bonvoy program is The Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-Inclusive Golf Resort & Spa in Costa Rica and Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa in Dubai.

Therefore, it is nice to see that there are more all-inclusive resorts are being added to Marriott Bonvoy portfolio and the best part is you can now earn and use Marriott Bonvoy points to redeem for an award stay as well at those All-Inclusive Elegant Hotels.

    Marriott All-Inclusive Resorts

All-Inclusive Elegant Hotels features adults only to family-friendly all-inclusive properties that focus on upscale luxury resort destinations, specifically in Barbados. The good news is, it is possible now to earn and use Marriott Bonvoy points to redeem for an award stay at one of those resorts on MARRIOTT website. Standard award room types are even a Junior Suite or an Ocean View Suite with Balcony.

It's worth mentioning too that, Marriott International also expects to add more than double all-inclusive portfolio in the future with Blue Diamond Resorts to Marriott's Autograph Collection brand. So additional Marriott's all-inclusive resorts are coming soon to Antigua & Barbuda, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Saint Lucia

Earning Marriott Bonvoy Points at Marriott All-Inclusive Resorts

The earning rate is the same as you earn with other Marriott Bonvoy hotels and resorts stays. You earn 10x Marriott Bonvoy base points per eligible dollar spent at these resorts. If you have elite status with Marriott Bonvoy program, you will earn additional bonus points as well. If you use Marriott Bonvoy Credit Cards to pay for eligible charges at these resorts, you'll also earn additional bonus points per your card's benefits.

You must be a Marriott Bonvoy member in order to earn points through stays - Free join Marriott Bonvoy and Earn 2,500 Bonus Points. It's worth mentioning also that if you use Marriott points to redeem for stays, you cannot earn points.

Redeeming Marriott Bonvoy Points On Marriott All-Inclusive Resorts

It is possible to use Marriott Bonvoy points to redeem for an award stay at Marriott all-inclusive resorts. Currently, all Marriott all-inclusive resorts are Category 8 properties within Marriott Bonvoy program.

You can use Marriott Bonvoy points to book right into the room/suite and all-inclusive package below:

In addition, Marriott has two all-inclusive resorts that you can use Marriott Bonvoy points to book right into the room and all-inclusive package.

How To Search Marriott All-Inclusive Resorts

The process to find Marriott all-inclusive resorts is pretty much the same as you were to search for non-all-inclusive Marriott hotels and resorts.
    • Head over to Marriott Bonvoy Hotels & Resorts website.
    • Put in your destination and traveling dates.
      • If your dates are flexible and you want to find the lowest rate/points, after you click inside the Dates field, be sure to click on Flexible Dates, then select how many nights and the month that you are interested in.
    • If you are redeeming points, make sure Use Points / Certificates box is checked.

    Marriott All-Inclusive Brands

While Marriott acquired Elegant Hotels that features all-inclusive resorts, Marriott has not made any adjustment to its current brand portfolios with the addition of these All-Inclusive Elegant Hotels. Currently, they are being advertised as "by Elegant Hotels - All-Inclusive" and feature both family-friendly and adults only resorts.

Marriott International also expects to add more than double all-inclusive portfolio in the future with Blue Diamond Resorts to Marriott's Autograph Collection brand. So additional Marriott's all-inclusive resorts are coming soon to Antigua & Barbuda, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Saint Lucia. Be sure to subscribe to our blog posts below as I'll cover that topic also when those resorts become available for booking using Marriott Bonvoy points.

Thank you for letting us know. This post has been updated to include Al Maha resort. We also updated our Worldwide All-Inclusive Resorts On Points to include Al Maha as well. That private resort looks amazing.
