The idea of being on a private island and vacation is something that is desirable when it comes to being away from the main land and its hustle and bustle. There are several hotels and resorts out there that are located on their own or a shared island that’s disconnected from the land wholly owned by a private individual or corporation. These secluded hotels and resorts can be really expensive to go to.
Fortunately for living points life, there are hotel’s rewards programs out there such as Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Marriott and Radisson that allow you to use reward points to redeem for free nights at those private island hotels and resorts around the globe.

Hilton Private Island Hotels & Resorts
- Conrad Maldives Rangali Island – South Ari Atoll, Maldives
- The only way to reach the resort for day-time arrivals is by seaplane (30 mins).
- Flight must be booked in addition to your room at least 3 days before arrival.

Hyatt Private Island Hotels & Resorts
- Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa – Huvadhoo Atoll, Republic of Maldives
- Domestic flights are arranged via Maldivian Airlines and waiting times may vary from a minimum of 1 hour to a maximum of 4 hours. The shortest flight from Male Domestic terminal to Kooddoo Domestic Airport is approximately 1 hour and the longest flight takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes due to a ‘stop over’ in Kadhdhoo Domestic Airport. A short speedboat journey of approximately 30-40 minutes (weather dependent) will follow as the final stretch of your journey to the island.

- The nearest international airport is Managua. The resort takes care of all transfers from the airport to and from Calala Island. Included in their rates (including points bookings), they arrange a short internal flight to Bluefields (50 minutes) followed by a scenic boat ride (90 minutes) to the Island. Resort’s representatives will accompany you throughout the journey.

- Hayman Island is located 20 nautical miles from Great Barrier Reef Airport on Hamilton Island.
- Luxury Launch transfers from Hamilton Island Airport to Hayman Island are $210 for adults and $110 for children (5-15 years old) each way.

- Six Senses Zil Pasyon – Félicité island, Seychelles
- The resort, which occupies one third of the total land, is set on the island’s north side of Félicité Island facing La Digue, Praslin, Curieuse, Petit Soeur, Grande Soeur, Coco and Marianne islands. - The seaplane journey takes approximately 30 minutes each way. The shared seaplane transfer fee is USD 450 per adult (age 12 years and above), USD 225 per child (ages between two and 11 years), and complimentary for infants (age below two years) sitting on a parent’s lap for the round trip.
