UPDATE: Grand Hyatt Washington DC will be undergoing renovation from February 1 through July 31, 2024. Therefore, the Grand Club is temporarily closed. However, the hotel offers exclusive dining alternatives. See the photo below.

While staying at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC as a Globalist member, I received complimentary access to the Grand Club, where I can enjoy breakfast in the morning and small plates in the evening daily.

The Grand Club at Grand Hyatt Washington DC exceeded my expectation. Therefore, I recommend it to World of Hyatt Globalist members or those who want to use the Hyatt Club Lounge Access Awards to redeem for the Club level rooms. The Grand Club is worth it, especially when you want to save money on food and drinks while visiting the Capitol of the United States – Washington DC.

The Grand Club at Grand Hyatt Washington DC is on the 12th floor.
You can also access the Grand Club with your room key if your reservation includes the club lounge access, such as your Hyatt’s Globalist elite status, or apply the Hyatt Club Lounge Access Awards to your reservation or book right into the club-level room with cash or World of Hyatt points.

Below are the operating hours of the club lounge at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC:

Continental Breakfast
- Daily from 6:30am to 9:30am
Afternoon Service
- Daily from 12pm to 5pm
Hors d’oeuvre
- Daily from 5pm to 8pm
Dessert Buffet
- Daily from 8:30pm to 9:30pm

Grand Club Lounge Seats

The Grand Club at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC is a good size club lounge; however, it can get crowded during busy hours.

Moreover, there are quite a few chairs and tables inside the lounge, ranging from couches/sofas to high tables and stools and standard chairs and tables in the dining room.

Continental Breakfast

Breakfast is served buffet-style, so you can enjoy it as much as possible. The breakfast offers various hot and cold items, and there are plenty of them to enjoy, such as:

Egg white frittata
Bacon
Potatoe wedges
Scrambled eggs
Hardboiled eggs
Yogurts
Fruits
Hams and Cheese
Pastries such as muffins, croissants, etc.

Afternoon Service

The afternoon service at the Grand Hyatt Washington Club Lounge is served daily from 12pm to 5pm.

However, don’t expect much out of the afternoon service. All the minimal options available inside the club lounge during the afternoon service are just some snacks, and that’s about it. You can also enjoy complimentary non-alcoholic beverages during the afternoon service.

Hors d’oeuvres

You don’t want to miss the hors d’oeuvres at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC club lounge.

Like continental breakfast, hors d’oeuvres service is buffet-style and offers great food dishes to enjoy. The hors d’oeuvres service opens from 5pm to 8pm daily.

Hummus, Onion Dip
Hard Boiled Eggs
Pickled Vegetables
Mixed Olives
Chicken Salad
Tuna Salad
Blue Cheese Monterey
Pate Mortadella

Beers & Wines

The Grand Club at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC has a Grand Club Honor Bar that offers a selection of beers and wines, including other liquor drinks, at a reasonable price. The honor bar is located by the buffet station and has all the liquor options displayed. To order, you simply inform the friendly lounge attendant, and they’ll take care of you.

All other non-alcoholic beverages are free of charge.

Desserts

The desserts service at the Grand Hyatt Washington Club Lounge is served daily from 8:30pm to 9:30pm.

You can enjoy the dessert buffet with various sweet treat options, such as cookies and mini cakes. They are so delicious, especially when you have a sweet tooth! Forget about dieting and splurge yourself at the Grand Hyatt Washing Club Lounge!

You can enjoy as many desserts as you’d like, and all non-alcoholic drinks, including teas and milk, are complementary.
