As a Hyatt Globalist elite member, my reservation at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, therefore, includes complimentary access to the Grand Club, where we had daily breakfast and appetizers in the evening. All meals are served buffet-style, so you can enjoy as much as you want, and this can really save you money because the dining cost at the resort is expensive.

Grand Hyatt Kauai Club Lounge Location & Access

The location of the Grand Club is confusing to find if it is your first time staying at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa. It must be a frequently asked question for guests because, upon checking in, the receptionist clearly wrote down the room number near the Grand Club. Therefore, without that piece of information, it would have been very hard trying to find the club lounge.

The Grand Club at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort is located on Level 3, next to room number 3021. It’s also close to the Anara Spa if that’s easier for you to find the club.

You access the lounge with your room key if your reservation has club lounge access, such as your Hyatt’s Globalist elite status, or you apply a Club Access Award to your reservation.

Grand Hyatt Kauai Club Lounge Hours

Below are the operating hours of the club lounge at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa based on each service offered throughout the day:

  • Continental Breakfast
    • Daily from 6:30 to 10 AM
  • Afternoon Snacks
    • Daily from 12 – 4 PM
  • Cocktails & Hors d’oeuvres
    • Daily from 5 – 7 PM
  • Desserts
    • Daily from 7:30 – 8:30 PM

Club Lounge Seats

There are plenty of seats and tables inside the Grand Club, and your options range from couch/sofa seats to high tables and stools and outdoor seating.

Our favorite is the outdoor seats because we could enjoy our food while looking out at the panoramic ocean view. I also saw some guests did takeout if that’s what you prefer, and you can let the club attendant know accordingly.

Continental Breakfast

Breakfast consists of various items served the same every day, with one or two special items that change daily. See the following menu.

The same usual breakfast varieties include:

  • Fruits
  • Assorted Pastries
  • Bagels and Toast
  • Deli Meats and Cheese
  • Boiled Eggs
  • Steel Cut Oatmeal
  • GHK Garden Greens
  • Smoked Salmon & Condiments
  • Miso Soup

The special dish hot breakfast changes daily from bacon, ham, sausages, and pancakes to scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa.

I love that the Grand Club at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa has a bulletin board that posts breakfast and hors d’oeuvres menu items each day, so you know what they will be serving for the following day. See the photo below:

Afternoon Snacks

The afternoon snacks are served daily from 12 PM – 4 PM. The snack options are minimal, such as some nuts, sugar cookies, and brownie items.

You can also drink any complimentary non-alcoholic drinks or purchase alcoholic beverages if you’d like.

Hors d’oeuvres

Like the Continental Breakfast, hors d’oeuvres service at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort’s Grand Club is buffet-style. See the following menu.

Each day, you can find the usual variety of food dishes, such as:

  • Fruits
  • Vegetable Crudite
  • Dip
  • Cheese
  • Vegetarian Pasta
  • Roasted Vegetables
  • GHK Garden Greens
  • Miso Soup

There’s also one special dish that changes daily. It ranges from chicken wings, pork nachos, quesadillas, potstickers, and wontons to cha siu bao. See the photos below.

Cocktails, Beers and Wines

Grand Hyatt Kaui’s Grand Club has an Honor Bar where you can make your cocktail drinks. Beers and wines are also available at the Honor Bar. As its name suggests, the bar is operated based on an honest system. To purchase any alcoholic drinks, you write down your name and room number on the Grand Club Honor Bar paper and specify which alcoholic item you make, consume, sign it, and have the bill charged to your account portfolio during your stay.

Each alcoholic drink, a can of beer or a glass of wine, costs only $5 per item for example. This is another saving opportunity to purchase cheap alcoholic beverages compared to the drinks sold at the resort’s restaurants and bars.

Editor’s Tip: If you choose to turn down housekeeping service, you will receive either 500 World of Hyatt Points or $10 Food & Beverage Credit each day. You can certainly use that credit for all charges you incur in the Grand Club. See the review here.

It’s worth noting also that all non-alcoholic drinks are free of charge.

Desserts

The Grand Club at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa serves a variety of desserts daily between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM. That is to say, forget about dieting! Enjoy as many desserts as you want because they are served as an all-you-can-eat. Complimentary teas, coffees, and milk are also available.

  1. Hi,
My family is considering going here next year. As a family of 5, we need a king room and a two queen room. Grand Hyatt says that the club level rooms are King rooms only. How could we get our kids eligible to use the club lounge if we don’t have Globalist status and if we can’t get them in a king room?
    Thanks!

    1. Hi Carey, thanks for commenting. That is a great question. I suggest that you talk to Hyatt reservation center and see what they recommend.
