The Executive Lounge at Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel is one of the best. Above all, I love the seats with beautiful skyline views and the food offered inside the lounge. As a Marriott Platinum Elite and above, you can also choose to have breakfast inside the lounge or at the buffet restaurant on the 9th floor. I’ll talk about that more below.

Executive Club Lounge Location and Access

The Executive Lounge is located on the highest 33rd floor at Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel. Right after you exit the elevator, turn left, and you’ll see the lounge after that. You must use your key to open the door, but if the door doesn’t open, the lounge staff will open it for you from their computer. Moreover, you must also provide your room number.

There will be two types of lounge staff greeting you. One is at the desk, which is the concierge that can check elite members into the room, make room keys, etc. The other is the wait staff, who will take you to a seat for dining. You may also ask for a new seat if you don’t like the one that they gave you. More below.

Marriott Platinum Elite, Marriott Titanium Elite, and Marriott Ambassador Elite status have complimentary access to the Executive Lounge. Alternatively, you can also book a room with the Club Lounge Access if you do not have above mentioned elite status with Marriott.

Marriott Kaohsiung Executive Lounge Hours

  • Breakfast is served from 6:30 am to 10:30 am
  • Happy Hour is from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
  • All-day delights and non-alcoholic drinks are available from 10:30 am to 10 pm.

To clarify, the Happ Hour refers to unlimited free alcoholic beverages you can make yourself and an evening appetizer buffet.

Executive Lounge Seats

The Executive Lounge at Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel is a good-sized lounge. However, the lounge can be busy on the weekends and holidays, but otherwise, plenty of seats are available. Most importantly, the lounge has lounge staff to assist and seat everyone.

Because the Executive Lounge is 33 floors high at the Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel, lounge seats and tables with large windows provide an incredible Kaohsiung skyline view, day and night.

Complimentary Breakfast Options

As a Marriott Platinum Elite member and above, you can choose to have breakfast inside the Executive Lounge or at the on-site M9 restaurant buffet on the 9th floor.

Here’s to help you choose:

  • The buffet at the M9 restaurant has a lot more options with live cooks. See the following photos below.
  • The Executive Lounge has fewer options but is quieter because only certain guests can access the lounge.
    • In addition to the small buffet, the lounge staff also offers you a small menu. The options to choose from are scrambled eggs, omelets, hard-boiled, fried eggs, and a daily chef special.

You can also split between the two if you stay longer at the Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel to enjoy both. To consume breakfast at the restaurant, tell the front staff your room number, and the waiter/waitress will seat you accordingly.

The following are the breakfast photos in the M9 buffet restaurant:

All-Day Delights Service

The all-day service inside the Executive Lounge at Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel lasts long from 10:30 am to 10 pm. During the service, you can enjoy mini desserts and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks.

Evening Happy Hour Service

Starting at 5:00 pm, you can also enjoy the Happy Hour, which consists of free meals and liquors that you can make yourself, including wines and beers.

The evening food options are a lot, so you won’t be hungry because it’s a buffet. There are a variety of items available, from Taiwanese dishes to Western food, such as chicken nuggets, pizza, and macaroni. A salad bar, soup, and desserts are also available. The food options are pretty extensive and change daily.

The way things work inside the Executive Lounge is this: The lounge staff will seat you and give you a coaster to indicate you are eating, and then flip it over when you finish.

It’s also important to note that during weekends and Taiwanese National Holidays, the lounge asks that you dine only for one hour to help the overcrowding issue.

After 7 pm, the Executive Lounge also serves fruits and cookies, including non-alcoholic drinks.

Beers & Wines

Complimentary beers and wines are all available during the Happy Hour, as I mentioned above, from 5 pm to 7 pm.

You can enjoy beers, wines, and all other make-it-yourself cocktail drinks with the evening meal service inside the lounge. The beer options are blonde Taiwan beer and Heineken, and wines include white and red Cabernet.

Desserts

Desserts are served during the same time as Happy Hour as well. In addition, desserts and fruits are also served after 7 pm inside the lounge as part of the all-day delights service.

Business Center

Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel does not have a Business Center on the property. However, there’s one in the Executive Lounge where you can use the Apple Mac computer. You need to let the staff know so they can provide the keyboard and mouse.

Meeting Room

It’s my understanding also that the Executive Lounge offers complimentary meeting room usage for 1 hour per day. I did not use that, but if you do, a reservation is required. Moreover, any additional hour usage costs 2,000 Taiwanese dollars plus 10% per extra Hour.

Bathrooms

The Executive Lounge also has one male and one female toilet, which is nice and clean.
