One of the top tier elite benefits that make World of Hyatt program different from other hotel’s reward programs is the Hyatt Guest of Honor benefit that allows Globalist members to book a room for someone else using points or Hyatt Free Night Award at an applicable Hyatt brand hotel or resort, and have that “Guest of Honor” receive all elite benefits that would have been provided to the Globalist.
In this post, I want to go through some basics about Hyatt’s Guest of Honor benefit and answer some frequently asked questions about how does this benefit actually work.

Guest of Honor is is an exclusive benefit that is available to World of Hyatt’s top tier Globalist elite members. Once you earn the Globalist elite status in the World of Hyatt program, you can gift free night award stay(s) to someone else. The recipient will be treated as your “Guest of Honor” and will receive the same Globalist’s elite perks at the applicable Hyatt hotel or resort.
The most important thing about this Hyatt’s Guest of Honor benefit is that, the points or Hyatt Free Night Award has to come out of your (Globalist) account, not your guest of honor’s account.
