One of the top tier elite benefits that make World of Hyatt program different from other hotel’s reward programs is the Hyatt Guest of Honor benefit that allows Globalist members to book a room for someone else using points or Hyatt Free Night Award at an applicable Hyatt brand hotel or resort, and have that “Guest of Honor” receive all elite benefits that would have been provided to the Globalist.

How Does Hyatt Guest of Honor Benefit Work?
- Hyatt’s Guest of Honor benefit is only available on points or Hyatt Free Night Award that is earn either through Chase World of Hyatt Credit Card every year or other ways to earn Hyatt Free Night Award.
- Points or Hyatt Free Night Award has to come out of Globalist’s account, not the guest of honor’s account.
- Points + Cash or cash bookings are not eligible.
- There’s no limit to how many rooms a Globalist member can book and gift Guest of Honor.
- The Guest of Honor does not have to be friends or family, it can be virtually anyone.
- Globalist member can stay in conjunction with the guest by booking a second room for the guest at the same Hyatt property, or the guest can simply stay without the presence of the Globalist member.
- All Globalist benefits are extended to the Gest of Honor such as complimentary room upgrade including standard suite upgrade subject to availability at check-in, complimentary club access or free breakfast, early check-in, 4:00 PM late checkout, waived resort fees, free parking and more.
- Award stays do count toward Hyatt’s elite night credits. Globalist member will not receive elite night credits, but the Guest of Honor will receive elite night credits into their own account if they are also a World of Hyatt member which they should be.
- Guest of Honor benefits are available only for gifted awards that are redeemed at a participating Park Hyatt, Miraval, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt, Andaz, Hyatt Centric, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Thompson Hotels, Alila (some locations only), Joie de Vivre (some locations only), Destination (both participating Destination Hotels and participating Destination Residences locations), Caption by Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Hyatt Ziva or Hyatt Zilara hotel or resort.
