Compare: Emirates A380 Vs. Emirates 777 First Class

Emirates First Class is one of the
best premium products
out there for aviation enthusiasts. When it comes down to my favorite Emirates
First Class, I would have to go with the Emirates A380 aircraft. The
super-jumbo offers a luxury VIP experience that is unforgettable in terms of
in-flight shower suites and lounge bar. However, I am pretty sure others may
argue differently when it comes to which is better, Emirates First Class on
Boeing 777 or on Airbus 380? 

Please note that this comparison is between Emirates A380 and the old
777-300ER, not the
Emirates new 777-300ER. 

The Emirates Boeing triple 7s consists of just 8 first class seats,
whereas the super-jumbo A380 has 14 first class seats. So the cabin on
777 aircraft indeed feel more spacious and less crowded. Moreover, First Class
cabin on A380 is on the upper deck making the cabin more narrow than the 777.
So clearly the winner here is 777 if you want a wider and roomier First Class
cabin. 

First Class seats on both Emirates 777 and A380 are very much the same in
terms of the design and features. All First Class suites come with beautiful
gold studded design and enclosed with a privacy door along with other
amenities. However, the 777 seats are actually slightly wider making it more
comfortable to sit in, relax and sleep. This is probably because of how
spacious the First Class cabin on 777 is compared to the First Class cabin on
A380. 

Fun and memorable experience are what great about the Emirates First Class on
the Airbus 380. The aircraft features two huge shower suites and they are
simply beautiful. In fact, did you know there’s a dedicated flight attendant
that’s his/her main job is to make sure those shower suites are clean and
ready during your flight? I remember first time stepping into the lavatory on
Emirates A380 First Class that is equipped with a shower suite, I was amazed
about how big and beautiful it was.

can’t compare. 

After all, who can say that they shower on a plane at 40,000 feet above the
ground? Emirates 777 unfortunately does not have a shower suite. 

Another fun feature on Emirates A380 is that it has a real lounge bar that’s
accessible by the First Class and Business Class passengers. I have not been
on any other aircraft that the lounge bar can be compared to the Emirates
A380’s. I have been in
Etihad A380’s lounge, but it’s not as cool as Emirates A380’s lounge. 

It’s just a true unforgettable experience to just walk up to the bar, order a
drink and then sit in the lounge to socialize with others without realizing
that you are actually on the plane doing that. Emirates 777 is losing to
Emirates A380 here because 777 does not have a lounge bar. 

Emirates A380 is quieter and smoother to ride in. This makes the A380 aircraft
the best candidate to experience all those over the top shower suites and
lounge bar without realizing that you are actually on a plane. So comparing to
the 777 aircraft, A380 aircraft offers a better and smoother ride. 

If you are looking for more in dept reviews of each Emirates aircraft First
Class, I have reviewed 777 twice and A380 once. All were long haul
International flights that allowed enough time to really enjoy what each First
Class aircraft had to offer. 

There you have it! While Emirates 777 offers more spacious First Class cabin
and wider seats for comfort in the suite, Emirates A380 First Class offers
unique unforgettable experiences in terms of the shower suites and lounge bar
at 40,000 feet above the ground. If Emirates A380 does not have those two
things, then 777 would be my preferable choice to fly.
