Capital One Lounge Review at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) For Capital One Cardholders & Finnair Business Class Passengers

Capital One Lounge at DFW airport is located in Terminal D by Gate D22, right by the American Flagship Lounge DFW. 

The lounge opens from 7  AM to 7 PM daily.

You can access Capital One Lounge DFW with the following options:

• Cardholders of the following Capital One credit cards:
• Capital One Venture X Credit Card
• Unlimited complimentary access.
• Can bring up to two (2) guests per visit. 
• $45 per visit for additional guests. 
• Capital One Venture Credit Card
• Two free visits per year.
• $45 per visit for additional visits after the two free visits. 
• $45 per visit for additional guests. 
• Capital One Spark Miles Business Credit Card
• Two free visits per year.
• $45 per visit for additional visits after the two free visits. 
• $45 per visit for additional guests. 
• oneworld airline Business Class passengers. For example, Finnair
• Pay a lounge visit fee. See below. 

Eligible Capital One credit cardholders can simply enter the lounge and show the lounge personnel the credit card along with boarding passes for the cardholder and guest(s) to be scanned. 

If you are not a cardholder of an eligible Capital One credit card or you are not flying business class with a oneworld airline, you can access the Capital One Lounge DFW by paying the following fee:

• $65 per visit
• Free for children under two

Capital One Lounge DFW is not a big lounge. While there are quite a few seats inside the lounge, it can get really crowded during busy times, especially when anyone can enter the lounge with a $65 fee, and eligible Capital One cardholders can bring guests in free of charge. 

The seats inside Capital One Lounge DFW are nice and comfortable. You have options of tall, dining, or lounge chairs, which are my favorite because they overlook the airport’s runway and are convenient to spot American Airlines planes through large glass windows. 

Food is what makes Capital One Lounge DFW unique and worth visiting. You can expect the quality of the food and its presentation to be much better than in your typical airport lounges. 

The food is served buffet-style. Each individual piece of food is placed in the compartment in a ‘bookshelf’ across the center of the lounge. It’s more of a “grab & go” approach because all food is already on a plate. Thus, this can be much cleaner than the typical self-serving food buffet. You pick up utensils and trays to place your food and drinks to take to your table. 

There are plenty of cold and hot options that are all delicious. Desserts are also available inside the Capital One Lounge.

Capital One Lounge DFW offers unlimited and complimentary beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. 

There are self-served non-alcoholic drinks stations inside the lounge. If you want an alcoholic beverage, you can go to the bar and order. Alcoholic liquors are included in your lounge access, except for the top-shelf liquors. A cocktail menu is also available at the bar (see the picture below). 

The Relaxation Room is another cool feature of Capital One Lounge DFW. You can find towels, eyemasks, and a Capital One pod chair in the relaxation room. 

The downside of the Relaxation Room is that you can only use it for 20 minutes. When you press the start button on the Capital One pod, the 20 minutes countdown and soothing music will occur. You can also adjust the height of the pod, including back massage, all through the remote control in the pod. 

You must make a reservation with the lounge receptionist at the front to use the relaxation room. There are two (2) relaxation rooms at Capital One Lounge DFW. 

Another unique feature that you don’t typically see inside an airport lounge is the fitness room. Capital One Lounge DFW has a Cycling + Yoga room that you can make a reservation with the lounge receptionist at the front before using. Once inside the room, you can use the room for 45 minutes. 

The bathroom inside the Capital One Lounge DFW is individual and unisex, and there are a total of 4 bathrooms. So if one is in use, you can try another one. I feel this can be an issue during busy times and can be a bit of a wait while trying to use the toilet. 

The shower suite is available inside the Capital One Lounge DFW. You must make the reservation with the lounge receptionist upfront before using. 

Luggage lockers are also available inside the Capital One Lounge DFW if needed. 

Complimentary Wi-Fi is good, and a password is required. You can obtain the password from the lounge staff. The password given to me was VentureFurther.
