When Does Hilton Free Weekend Night Post After Approval of Amex Hilton Aspire Card?

American Express Hilton Aspire Card offers a Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward every year starting from the time that you apply for the card and you get approved. This is one of the best perks to maximize
the Aspire card benefits because of its premium high annual fee of $450 (Why the Amex Hilton Aspire Card Is Worth the Annual Fee $450). 

For those that plan on using the Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward right away after the
approval of the American Express Hilton Aspire Card, you may want to know when do Amex and
Hilton issue the certificate after you are approved for the card.

• Upon approval of the American Express Hilton Aspire Card, you will receive one Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward, and every year
  after renewal. 
• The Reward Certificate is valid for one complimentary night for a standard
  room at participating Hilton hotels & resorts worldwide.
• A weekend night is defined as a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night.

In wake of
COVID-19: 

• All unexpired Hilton Free Weekend Night Rewards that are earned on eligible Hilton Credit Cards that are set to expire on August 31, 2021, will now be extended through January 3, 2022.
• All 2021-issued Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward certificates are extended to December 31, 2022.
• All Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward certificates can also continue to be used any night of the week (not just on weekends).  

According to American Express:

• May 7 – Approved for the American Express Hilton Aspire Card. 
• July 7 – Received Amex email with a subject
  “You’ve received an Annual Weekend Night Reward from Hilton Honors” 
• July 8 – Hilton issued the Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward with a
  subject “Your Free Night Reward has arrived!” Make sure to confirm
  your correct email address in your Hilton Honors account profile as that’s
  how Hilton will send you the redeemable code for the free weekend night
  certificate. 

If you do not receive any emails, you can call Hilton at
1-800-446-6677. After your identity is verified, the agent will be able to tell you about your available Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward in your account including its expiration date and redemption code. 

As you can see, it takes around 8 weeks or 2 months for me to receive Amex Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward. 

Currently, it is not possible to view Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward online.
You can search your email that is associated with your Hilton Honors account,
or call Hilton at 1-800-446-6677 to
inquire about it. After your identity is verified, the agent will be able to
tell you about your available Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward certificate in your
account including its expiration date and the code for redemption. 

You cannot redeem Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward online at this time. You must call Hilton at 1-800-446-6677, provide your Hilton Honors account and let the agent know that you would like to redeem your free weekend night reward. The agent will walk you
through from there to make a reservation. 

As a reminder, the Hilton Free Weekend Night Reward certificate is valid for
one complimentary night for a standard room at participating Hilton
hotels & resorts worldwide. This means that if a Hilton property has a
standard points room available, you should be able to use the free
weekend night reward for that particular property. Therefore, you can
also, do an award search online first on
Hilton Hotels and Resorts website first to
verify availability before calling up Hilton.
