I was flying through Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) and headed over to the Priority Pass Lounge - PGA MSP Lounge; however, unfortunately, it was closed on the July 4th holiday, so my travel companion and I went over to the next-door Escape Lounge instead.

Escape Lounge MSP is The Centurion Studio Partner by Amex, so with me being an American Express Platinum Card member, I could access the lounge with one guest, free of charge.

    Food

The buffet is decent, with a small variety of hot food and sweet treats. When I was there, they had vegetarian meatballs, chicken adobo, waffle fries, ham sandwiches, chips and salsa, soup, cookies, and mini strawberry cakes.

The buffet food inside the Escape Lounge MSP is not the best lounge food, but it will satisfy your hunger.

    Drinks

There are non-alcoholic beverages such as teas, coffee, water, and soda pops that are available self-served.

For alcoholic drinks, there's a bar and a bartender that can make drinks for you. I found that the bartender was not very knowledgeable about making drinks. I asked for Midori Sour. She looked perplexed, and instead of telling me she was unsure how to make it, she told me they could not make cocktails. But when I asked for a gin and tonic, she could make that "cocktail" 😂*facepalmed*

    Bathroom

The bathroom is outside the lounge, but it's exclusive to the lounge area if you know where it is! There's a sign on the door to the bathroom that each guest must re-enter the lounge after using the bathroom.

    Conclusion

American Express Centurion Escape Lounge MSP is a decent lounge with ample buffet food items and a bar for alcoholic drinks, such as cocktails, beers, and wines. Several seats are inside the lounge, offering an airport's runway view.

Overall, Escape Lounge MSP is a good lounge to relax and fill your stomach with food and drinks before flying.
