What is Amex Offers?
For those unfamiliar with Amex Offers, it’s a benefit available on American Express Cards that offer more American Express Membership Rewards (MR) points and savings in the form of statement credits on dining, entertainment, shopping, travel, business expenses, supplies, services, and more.
- Amex Offers are not only available on American Express Credit Cards but also on American Express Charge Cards and American Express Debit Cards.
- Amex Offers come and go all the time.
- Amex Offers are highly targeted for a specific individual card account. Though, you can use the Amex Connect method to get around that. More below.
- Each Amex Offer has different terms and conditions, so remember to read the fine print.
- Each Amex Offer must be added to the card before using it to earn the rewards.
- Some popular Amex Offers are valid while supplies last, so don’t wait too long to enroll in the offer.
Here’s how Amex Offers works:
- Find the Amex Offer on your eligible Amex card. The offer is generally a targeted offer for a specific Amex card account.
- Add the offer to your Amex card once you see something you like. You can only add one offer per card if you have the same offer available on multiple cards.
- Use your enrolled card to pay and receive a statement credit or American Express Membership Rewards (MR) points per the offer’s terms and details.
What is Amex Connect?
It’s also worth knowing that American Express offers a portal where you can add an offer to your eligible Amex card, known as Amex Connect.
Amex Connect does not have an extensive list of offers like Amex Offers, and not all Amex Offers are available through Amex Connect. However, one crucial benefit of Amex Connect is the ability to add an Amex Offer to ANY eligible Amex card. Whereas Amex Offers, you can only add a specific offer to a particular Amex card.
Amex Offers typically won’t appear on Amex Connect until a few days after they appear first in the Amex account. With that said, some offers don’t even appear on Amex Connect. Based on my observation, for example, HILTON Amex Offers do show up on Amex Connect, but MARRIOTT Amex Offers hardly appear on Amex Connect.

How to Add Amex Offer to Card?
Adding an Amex Offer to a card is quick and simple. You must do this to enroll your Amex card with the offer before using it to pay.
On the American Express Website:
- Log into your American Express account online.
- Scroll to the middle of the page where it says the Amex Offers & Benefits.
- Here you can see available Amex Offers for that particular Amex card.
- You can scroll down a bit more and click on the blue View All button to view all available Amex Offers and refine the offers by their category.
- Remember that each Amex Offer may also be available on a different Amex card you prefer to use and earn the rewards. The process is the same to view the Amex Offer on that card.
- If you can’t find the Amex Offer or the offer is not on the right card, it’s worth checking Amex Connect to see if the offer appears there so that you can add the offer to the right card.
- You can click on the small arrow to the left of each offer to see the offer’s terms and conditions in detail.
- Once everything looks good and you are ready to add the offer to the card, click the Add to Card button.
- You can only add each Amex Offer to one Amex Card.
- Once the Amex Offer is added, it can’t be undone.
- To see Amex Offers already added to your card, click on the Added to Card under the Amex Offers & Benefits section.
On the American Express Mobile App:
- Launch the Amex mobile app and sign in.
- Tap the card image on the top of the mobile screen.
- This brings up all your Amex cards, and you can tap on the card you are interested in.
- Tap the Offers at the bottom of the screen.
- Under Available Offers, you can scroll and see all available Amex Offers for that particular Amex card.
- Remember that each Amex Offer may also be available on a different Amex card you prefer to use and earn the rewards. The process is the same to view the Amex Offer on that card.
- If you can’t find the Amex Offer or the offer is not on the right card, it’s worth checking Amex Connect to see if the offer appears there so that you can add the offer to the right card.
- You can tap on the offer itself to see the offer’s details. Click on the Offer Terms to view the offer’s terms and conditions.
- Once everything looks good and you are ready to add the offer to the card, simply tap on the Add to Card button on the offer’s detail page, or tap on the blue + sign to the right of each offer.
- You can only add each Amex Offer to one Amex Card.
- Once the Amex Offer is added, it can’t be undone.
- To see Amex Offers already added to your card, tap on the Added to Card on the top of the screen that has the Available Offers section mentioned in bullet #5 above.
How to Add Amex Offers to Multiple Cards?
Unfortunately, it’s impossible to add Amex Offers to multiple Amex cards. American Express used to allow that, but they have terminated that feature.
Each Amex Offer is a targeted offer for a particular Amex card and can vary between each account too. With that said, if you have an Amex Offer available on multiple American Express Cards, you can only add the offer to one of the cards.
