The Lounge at San Juan international airport (SJU) used to be a VIP Lounge, and it’s now known as The Lounge that is part of the Global Lounge Network. There are two of them located in Terminal A and Terminal C after security.

I flew with United from Houston international airport (IAH) to Denver international airport (DEN) in the United Polaris Business Class. However, there was no United club or lounge at SJU airport; thankfully, I could access The Lounge because it accepts Priority Pass membership.

    Getting In

The Lounge at SJU accepts Priority Pass membership. This means that Priority Pass members can access the lounge in Terminal A and Terminal C, depending on which terminal you are flying out of. Still, each terminal is all connected after TSA security.
The closest to my United flight was Terminal C, so I could use my Priority Pass membership through travel credit card’s benefit and take my two guests into the lounge, free of charge. The Lounge is very basic, and thus, I do not recommend paying to access it if you cannot access it for free.

    Food & Drinks

My travel companions and I were at The Lounge during breakfast time. The breakfast items are very basic but practical. They consist of a Cheese omelet with sausage patties, fruits, oatmeal, pancakes, toast, and yogurt. The Lounge also has a bar full of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You will need the lounge attendants to serve you food and drinks, and I found their service was good and fast. See photos below.

    Lounge Seats

The Lounge at SJU is not tiny, but also not big either. Thankfully when we were there, the lounge was not crowded, so we could find comfortable couches to relax while enjoying our breakfast.

    Lounge Couch Seats
There are dining tables and couches throughout the lounge. If you want to relax and unwind, there’s also room for that. In addition, Wi-Fi is also available, and there’s a room where you can sit and work on your computer. There’s also a toilet or bathroom inside the lounge as well.
Overall, I think The Lounge has functional space to accommodate each guest’s needs in terms of seats.

    Conclusion

The Lounge at San Juan Luis Munoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in Puerto Rico is a Priority Pass network lounge. Therefore, you and your guests can access the lounge with a valid Priority Pass Membership
While the food inside the lounge was nothing to get in for, there is quite a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Moreover, lounge seats and rooms are pretty functional for travelers to relax and unwind before flights.
In conclusion, it’s nice to have a Priority Pass lounge at SJU International Airport. I flew with United Polaris Business Class, but unfortunately, United does not have a club or lounge at SJU, so I appreciated that there’s a Priority Pass The Lounge there to relax and hang out with my travel companions before we part our ways.
