The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa has a club lounge for Globalists, Regency Club. Guests who redeem one of the Hyatt Club Lounge Access Awards on their reservation or book a Club Access room also have access to the lounge.
The Regency Club space is big, with beautiful ocean-view outdoor seats and ample breakfast and evening appetizers to save you money from eating at the hotel or outside!
Regency Club Lounge Location and Access
The Regency Club is located on the 3rd floor of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa. However, its location is strange, as you must go through the buffet area to get to the club lounge entrance. After that, upon arrival at the entrance, tap your key and pull the door to enter.
To access the Regency Club at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa:
- You are a World of Hyatt Globalist elite status member.
- Your room is reserved with club access, either using points or cash.
- Your room is reserved with Hyatt’s Club Access Award.
Regency Club Lounge Hours
The Regency Club at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa has the following operating hours:
- Breakfast: 6 AM – 10 AM
- Refreshments and snacks: 10 AM – 5 PM
- Hors d’oeuvres, wines and beers: 5 PM – 7 PM
- Desserts: 7 PM – 9 PM
Regency Club Lounge Seats
The Regency Club at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa is a good-sized lounge. The buffet area is small, but there is plenty of space for seats, including outdoor seating with an ocean breeze and a beautiful Pacific Ocean view.
Breakfast
Breakfast inside the Regency Club is good. The breakfast options include pork sausages, scrambled eggs, salad, salmon, miso soup, rice, and a variety of delicious pastries (my favorite). There are also some tropical fruits, such as papaya and rambutan.
Non-alcoholic beverages are also available inside the Regency Club at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa.
Refreshments and Snacks
Between 10 AM and 5 PM, you can enjoy snacks such as cookies and granola bars and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages.
Evening Service
First, it’s worth mentioning that room numbers are not checked during the evening service; however, they are checked during the breakfast service inside the Regency Club.
The evening service inside the Regency Club at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa consists of appetizers, beers, and wines from 5 PM to 7 PM daily.
As far as appetizers go, it’s a buffet, so you can enjoy as much as you’d like. The hot options were the following during my stay:
- Thai pork soup, vegetarian samosa, and curry chicken wings
- Kimchi fried rice, lemongrass potsticker, and kimchi soup.
In addition, there’s a nice salad bar, a couple of bruschetta meats, and pickled vegetables. Please note that the Regency Club changes its menu daily, and therefore, items may change during your visit.
It’s also worth noting that all non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary.
Beers & Wines
While the appetizers are free, beers and wines are not. However, the price is not terrible. For example, a beer costs $6, and a glass of wine costs $8. Moreover, it’s not an “honor bar” like most Hyatt club lounges where you make/grab a drink and write your room number on the paper slip to have it charged to your room. There’s a lounge staff at the bar that takes your order and ensures you pay for the item by writing your room number on the order slip accordingly. See the following photos:
Desserts
Furthermore, desserts, wines, and beers are served from 7 PM to 9 PM. Similar to the evening service inside the Regency Club, either wines or beers are not free. However, all other non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary to enjoy with the unlimited buffet-style mini desserts.
The dessert options typically include three sweet items, and you can also enjoy them free of charge with milk, tea or coffee, and non-alcoholic drinks, as mentioned above.
Other Amenities
The Regency Club at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa does not have a bathroom. However, there’s a business center inside the club lounge.
