Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is one of Hilton Honors members’ favorites. For me, it’s an alright Hilton property with an excellent Dubrovnik Old Town location.
I do not feel Hilton Dubrovnik is a luxury hotel that justifies its super expensive nightly rate. However, redeeming Hilton Honors points for free nights can really be valuable. At the time of this writing, a standard free night room requires 70,000 Hilton Honors points per night, and you get the Hilton 5th Night Free.
Location
The Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik’s location is excellent. It’s central to the old town and famous city walls, so you can literally walk to most attractions, including boat tours and restaurants.
Hilton Diamond Room Upgrades
One day before check-in, I took a peek at my reservation and noticed that I got an upgrade from the standard Double Guest Room that I booked on points to the King Superior Room. My ideal upgrade would be a sea view room or a Junior Suite. However, I also made a dummy booking to check availability, and the property appeared to sell out for premium rooms during my 5-night stay.
The upgrade to a King Superior Room was a good gesture, but it’s not an outstanding room by any means. It’s worth noting that some Hilton Honors members have received an upgrade up to a suite, so maybe you get better luck than me for shorter stays.
Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik Room Review
Our King Superior Room, 321, is on the third floor of the hotel, which has four floors. The room itself is rather smaller than I expected for a “superior,” which made me wonder how small the standard guest rooms are.
The king bed is comfortable, with pillows of good height and firmness. There’s also a lounge chair and a working desk.
The view through skinny tall windows, however, is disappointing, which is nothing special.
The bathroom is large but with only one sink, and if you travel to Europe often, you may relate to my pain when it comes to their shower. The bathtub is high, and the shower door is half closed, so water may spray everywhere when you take a shower.
Executive Lounge
The Executive Lounge at Hilton Dubrovnik is on the reception floor. It’s small and cozy but the food catering for breakfast and evening appetizers are not my favorite. It’s also worth mentioning that Hilton Honors Diamond members can have breakfast at the onsite restaurant or inside the Executive Lounge. Therefore, I strongly recommend the restaurant as the buffet offers more varieties and a cook-to-order menu. I’ll talk more about the breakfast below.
The Executive Lounge at Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik has a nice Happy Hour, during which you can enjoy unlimited alcoholic drinks from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily. See my full review of the lounge below:

Welcome Amenity
There was no welcome amenity, but inside the room, there was a welcome note with two snacks, orange peel and almonds made locally in Croatia. I did not like the orange peel, though.
Food & Beverage Credits

Hilton Diamond Breakfast
As a Hilton Honors Diamond, you can have breakfast inside the Executive Lounge or at the onsite restaurant Imperial Terrace. I recommend the restaurant because it offers more cold and hot options with an outdoor terrace seatings available.
The restaurant’s buffet breakfast offers hot items such as bacon, sausages, grilled tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, and a selection of pastries and breads. In addition, there’s European-style food, such as raw salmon, ham, turkey, and cheese, with other condiments like pickles, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh cucumbers, and tomatoes. There are also smoothies, yogurts, and juices.
Breakfast is a sit-in type. In addition to the buffet, there’s also an a-la-carte menu that includes omelets, egg benedicts, waffles, pancakes, and more. My only complaint is that the buffet options are mostly the same every day, so I got tired of eating them during my 5-night stay at Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik on Hilton Honors points with the Hilton 5th Night Free. Service at the restaurant is also not as good as I hoped for an expensive rate hotel.
Dining
There are only two dining venues at Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik. However, there are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance of the property that you can explore.
Resort Fee
Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is not a resort, so there is no resort fee. However, you must pay a city tax of around 3 Euros per night, whether you stay with cash or a free night.
Parking
At Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik, self-parking and valet parking are available. Each costs 30 Euros per day and has in-and-out privileges.
Pet Policy
Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is also a pet-friendly hotel and charges 45 Euros non-refundable pet fee.
Housekeeping
The housekeeping service is available, but we did not use it during our entire 5-night stay.
Internet/Wi-Fi
Yes, and it’s complimentary to all guests.
Bottled Water
Yes, inside the guest room. If you have access, you can also go to the Executive Lounge any time during the day to get refrigerated bottled still or sparkling water.
Early Check-in
We didn’t request an early check-in as we arrived around 8 p.m. after the check-in time of 3 p.m., and Happy Hour service inside the Executive Lounge ended at 7 p.m.
Late Check-out
We didn’t request a late check-out as we had to leave for Zagreb early the next day. The standard check-out time at Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is noon.
Spa
There is no dedicated spa center at Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik. Instead, you can request spa services at the front desk, which also houses the fitness center and swimming pools.
Fitness Center
Yes located on the bottom floor.
In-Room Safe
Yes, available.
Robes & Slippers
Yes, inside the closet
Swimming Pool
Yes, it’s on the bottom floor near the fitness center. The indoor swimming pool looks lovely.
Airport Transfer
Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik offers an airport transfer service that costs 60 Euros one-way. The hotel car is an E-class Mercedes Sedan that can transport up to 3 people from or to the airport. You can also charge the cost to your room account.
If you desire a much less expensive method, you can also take Uber or Bolt rideshare services. The airport is about a 30-minute drive from the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik, and the drive is beautiful.
