The launch of the Capital One Venture X Business Card makes me look closer at its benefits and compare it to the consumer version – the Capital One Venture X Card.
The name of the business card implies that it’s a business version of the consumer Capital One Venture X Card. However, they do and do not share the same card benefits.
For this comparison post, I will only focus on the differences in benefits and provide an overview table that lays out the differences and similarities in card benefits.

Credit Limit Vs. No Preset Spending Limit
The consumer Capital One Venture X Card is a card that has a credit limit or credit line that Capital One gives you. In other words, you spend based on your credit limit.
Whereas Capital One Venture X Business Card has no preset spending limit. The card adapts to your needs based on your spending behavior, payment history, credit profile, and other factors. You can practically put a ton of spend on the card. However, remember that your balance must always be paid in full monthly.
Credit Reporting
Capital One is notorious for credit reporting because they report their business card to your personal credit report. However, it is confirmed that the Capital One Venture X Business Card will not be reported or added to your personal credit report. This is great for those trying to stay under the Chase 5/24 Rule.
The Capital One Venture X Card is a personal card; therefore, it is reported to your personal credit report.
Visa Infinity Vs. World Elite Mastercard
The personal Capital One Venture X Card is a Visa Infinity card, offering benefits such as cell phone protection, trip cancelation and interruptions, trip delay reimbursement, etc.
On the other hand, the Capital One Venture X Business Card is a World Elite Mastercard and lacks those benefits mentioned above.
Cell Phone Protection
As mentioned above, the Capital One Venture X Business Card does not have cellular telephone protection, whereas the consumer Capital One Venture X Card does.
Complimentary Hertz President’s Circle
Consumer Capital One Venture X Card offers a complimentary Hertz President’s Circle elite status. However, the Capital One Venture X Business Card does not offer that benefit.
Authorized User Lounge Access
One great perk about the consumer Capital One Venture X Card is the ability to add authorized users to the card for free, and those authorized users have the same lounge access benefit as the primary cardholder. Authorized users can access Capital One Lounges, Plaza Premium Lounges, and Priority Pass Lounges with the same access and guesting policies the primary cardholder has.
While you can add authorized users, referred to as employees, to the Capital One Venture X Business Card for free, authorized users do not have the same lounge access benefits as the primary cardholder.
Priority Pass Restaurants
It is confirmed that the Priority Pass Membership with the Capital One Venture X Business Card includes the Priority Pass restaurant’s credit benefits. Cardholders can access Priority Pass Airport Lounges and enjoy dining credits at participating Priority Pass Airport Restaurants.
On the contrary, the Priority Pass Membership with the consumer Capital One Venture X Card only provides complimentary access to the Priority Pass Airport Lounges.
