One of the best experiences to fly Lufthansa First Class out of Frankfurt airport is the Ground Experience that starts from the First Class Terminal. Therefore, if it is your first time, this is the step-by-step guide process that you can expect from arriving at and leaving the Lufthansa First Class Terminal.

Step 1: Go to the Lufthansa First Class Terminal
Lufthansa First Class Terminal is outside Frankfurt International Airport (FRA). Therefore, if you are connecting to your eligible first-class flight, you must ensure you have ample layover time to experience it. You must clear immigration, exit the airport’s terminal, and walk to the First Class Terminal.
On the other hand, if you have an overnight stay at Frankfurt Airport, you can arrive and go straight to the First Class Terminal the next day. The First Class Terminal is within walking distance of the airport, and you can use the GPS walking map to assist if you want.
Step 2: Take the Elevator to the Lounge Entrance
Once you are inside the First Class Terminal building, enter the building and follow the arrow sign to take the elevator up to the lounge entrance.

Step 3: Meet Your “Personal Assistance”
When you step out of the elevator, the lounge staff will come to greet and welcome you to the lounge. That person is your “Personal Assistant” who will scan and take your boarding pass and passport. She then will hold on to those for now.
Step 4: Go Through Airport Type Security
Lufthansa First Class Terminal has a one-line airport-type security that you must go through. Your personal assistant will guide you through that, and the security staff will also help you out during the process.
Step 5: Get the Introduction and Lufthansa Duck Souvenir
Once you clear the security, your personal assistant will walk you through the lounge and explain all the amenities inside. You’ll receive a good introduction, including the Lufthansa Duck souvenir. Make sure to ask for one or two, and she’ll bring them to you, though the concierge desk inside the lounge also has those keepsakes. Meanwhile, your personal assistant will also let you know what you can expect next steps before boarding your flight.
Speaking of the Lufthansa Duck, his name is Lu. During special occasions, the Lufthansa First Class lounges in Germany have special types of Duck toys, such as Christmas, St. Patrick’s, and Oktoberfest (only available in Munich because the Oktoberfest event takes place there). Otherwise, you will only see the general white Lu that has Lufthansa First Class Terminal written on it.

Step 6: Enjoy the Lounge Amenities
At this step, you can enjoy lounge amenities such as a-la-carte or buffet dining, the bar, the cigar room, the shower room, the nap room, and the working room, or relax on one of the comfortable lounge seats. Meanwhile, your personal assistant will come back to give you the Duck souvenir (if you ask for one) and hand you back the boarding pass in a nice envelope. However, she keeps your passport at immigration passport control (more later).

Step 7: Prepare For Boarding
When it is boarding time, the personal assistant will find you and escort you to the elevator to go downstairs, where immigration passport control is. Yes, immigration control is inside the First Class Terminal. Please note that your personal assistant may be a different staff member because of the shift change.
The personal assistant does not take the elevator with you, but you may have other First Class passengers on the same flight riding the elevator with you, too. However, the personal assistant will meet you down there and show you the immigration control.

Step 8: Go Through the Frankfurt’s Immigration Passport Control
You go through a small immigration passport control desk with only two agents. They are friendly and ask you simple questions, like your name and where you are going. Then, the agent stamps your passport out of Frankfurt and hands the passport back to you.
Step 9: Ride the Limousine to Your Aircraft
The personal assistant will then guide you to her colleague, who double-checks your boarding pass. Then, he will send you off with a driver in a limousine to take you to the aircraft. How special is that!
Please note that if you are not the only first-class passenger at the First Class Terminal for your flight, you may have other passengers who will ride along with you in the limousine.

Step 10: Board the Plane
The limousine driver stays with you and guides you to the aircraft entrance. Then, the flight attendant welcomes you and takes care of you from there.
That’s it! The entire First Class Ground Experience process at Frankfurt is awesome. Lufthansa First Class Terminal staff, such as your personal assistant and the limousine driver, take care and guide you from the moment you arrive at the First Class Terminal until your boarding time, Mr./Ms. VIP!
