I have been planing a trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico this winter. So I have been doing research on tour companies and excursions to do while staying on the island because I am not planning on renting a car there.ย
If you are looking for some activity ideas to do in Puerto Rico, here are my recommended Puerto Rico tours and excursions for you.ย

Avoid Booking Directly With the Tour Company Websites
If the price matters to you, then do not book directly with the tour company websites. Those websites charge extra taxes and fees on top of the cost of each activity. Use third-party websites to book instead and you will not be charged for anything other than the cost of the excursion itself.ย
As you go through this article, I already included the direct link to each tour thatโs recommended here for your convenience that offers flexible cancellations with a full refund up to 24 hours before you do your tour, and there are no extra taxes and fees.ย

Culebra Islands Catamaran Tour by East Island Excursions โ $147
Puerto Rico is not all about the San Juan island. There are smaller islands out there that are part of Puerto Rico. If you are looking for much whiter sandy beaches and clearer water with more beautiful coral reefs for snorkeling, then you should choose Culebra island. You can either fly or take a very cheap ferry to Culebra from San Juan, but it requires a lot of planning to get there if you opt for the ferry option.ย
There is another option. If you want to experience Culebraโs famous beach and enjoy the journey to get there, the
Culebra Islands Catamaran Tour offers the following itinerary:
- Visit Culebraโs famous pristine and less-crowded beach Flamenco beach or Culebrita
- Enjoy the scenic highspeed water journey on a catamaran boat with lunch, drinks, and beers are included.ย
- Spend your afternoon swimming and snorkeling to explore the beautiful coral reefs in the Caribbean.ย
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund.ย

If you prefer an island thatโs closer to the San Juan island, they do have tours that go to the
Icacos Island. Keep in mind though, you may not find the reef and beach there as nice as the Culebra island. Moreover, it can be really crowded due to its proximity to the main San Juan island.ย
