Bora Bora, what a beautiful name! It is one of the exotic destinations in French Polynesia that is popular among honeymooners and love birds. There are a few luxury resorts there that offer the iconic Overwater Bungalows accommodation and a stay at each resort is not cheap.
I am going to make a comparison review on those Bora Bora luxury resorts that can book with points in terms of the location, award availability, room type, resort fees, etc. to give you a quick overview of each resort.

Best Bora Bora Overwater Bungalow Resorts On Points
There are a few luxury over the water bungalow resorts in Bora Bora, but the following resorts have points program that is straight forward and it is easy to accrue those points for redemption:
- The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort (Marriott Bonvoy Rewards)
- Le Meridien Bora Bora Resort (Marriott Bonvoy Rewards)
- InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora (IHG Rewards Club)
- InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa (IHG Rewards Cub)
- Conrad Bora Bora Nui (Hilton Honors)
The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort
The St. Regis Bora Bora resort sits on a bright blue lagoon with incredible views of Bora Bora’s iconic Mt. Otemanu. It is a very expensive resort there that offers each villa guest a butler. The location of the St. Regis is inaccessible from or to the main island without a boat, so you are pretty much either stuck at the resort paying for expensive food and drinks, or pay for a boat service to the main island. The resort does offer food package deal that’s worth looking into. The good news is, you can use Marriott Bonvoy points to redeem a stay at this resort and award availability is good.

Le Meridien Bora Bora Resort
Le Meridien Bora Bora is another Marriott Bonvoy property that is also situated on a bright blue lagoon with the views of Mt. Otemanu. Their premium overwater bungalows have a glass-bottom floor. It is one of the resorts that has a very good snorkeling spot and there’s also a turtle center where you can feed the turtles or swim with one for a fee. The resort also offers a complimentary 30 minutes lagoon’s boat ride aboard the traditional Polynesian canoe. Room rate at the Le Meridien Bora Bora is much cheaper than at the St. Regis.

InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora Resort
Located on the main island of Bora Bora, InterContinental Le Moana provides easy access to non-resort restaurants, shops and sights. Guests can take a shuttle boat for 3,390 XPF round-trip per person to the more secluded sister property InterContinental Thalasso and use all the facilities there, free of charge. This resort is more affordable than other Bora Bora resorts and it is part of IHG Rewards Club, but availability for points booking is very difficult to find.

InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa
The InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa is located on the same side of the island along with the St. Regis resort and the Le Meridien resort. This resort by far is the most eco-friendly resort and thus the décor can be a bit on a non-luxury side. But because of its location, it also offers stunning views of the lagoon and Mt. Otemanu. It is also not possible to go to the main island without a boat though guests can take a shuttle boat for 3,390 XPF round-trip per person to the sister property InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora Resort that’s located on the main island.

Conrad Bora Bora Nui
Conrad Bora Bora Nui is the only resort in Bora Bora that’s currently under the Hilton Honors program. The resort offers upscale and luxurious amenities, so expect the expensive side at this resort. It is located west of Bora Bora and therefore it’s facing out to the ocean only and has no incredible views of Bora Bora or its iconic Mt. Otemanu.
