American Airlines (AA) Flagship Lounge is one of the largest lounges at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The space is huge, with an open floor plan. The lounge offers several seating areas, a quiet room, buffet-style food and unlimited drinks, and champagne on arrival. Only eligible traveling passengers can access the AA Flagship Lounge DFW, such as oneworld alliance airline Business Class and First Class passengers.
Here’s a detailed review of the AA Flagship Lounge at DFW airport:

Location
American Airlines Flagship Lounge at DFW airport is located in Terminal D, near Gate D22. The lounge is located right by the new Capital One Lounge DFW.
Unlike Capital Onge Lounge DFW next door, which opens from 7AM to 7PM, American Airlines Flagship Lounge DFW opens daily from 5 AM to 10 PM.
Lounge Access
You can enter American Airlines Flagship Lounge DFW if you are:
- Flying International Business Class with American Airlines or oneworld alliance airline such as Finnair Business Class.
- Flying International First Class with American Airlines or oneworld alliance airline such as British Airways.
It’s worth mentioning that when you are flying First Class with oneworld alliance airlines, you can enjoy food inside the exclusive Flagship dining room instead.
Lounge Seats
AA Flagship Lounge Seats |
American Airlines Flagship Lounge DFW is huge. I love the open floor plan concept with a long hallway that you feel like it goes on forever. Therefore, several seats are available, and they are very nice and comfortable with the runway views through large glass windows to spot American Airlines planes throughout the day.
There’s also a TV room and a quiet room that is first-come-first-served.

Welcome Champagne & Drinks
American Airlines Flagship Lounge DFW also offers a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. The best part about the lounge is that all drinks, including liquors, are self-served and bottomless! The only thing to remember is that you cannot take the liquor bottle, such as a bottle of wine or a bottle of champagne, to your seat and share among your travel companions.

Another welcoming thing about the American Airlines Flagship Lounge DFW is upon entering the lounge, you should notice a champagne table that offers you a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival. This should make you feel VIP!

Quiet Room
The Quiet Room at American Airlines Flagship Lounge DFW is worth checking out if you want a place to sleep. However, each lounge chair in the Quiet Room is first-come-first-served only, so it may be challenging to get one during busy times.

Bathroom & Shower
American Airlines Flagship Lounge DFW has a bathroom inside the lounge and a shower facility.
Conclusion
I enjoyed my time at the American Airlines Flagship Lounge at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). I like the long hallway open floor plan that feels like it goes on forever. This huge lounge offers plenty of seats with the AA plane’s runway.
Overall, I am very impressed with how big the American Airlines Flagship Lounge DFW is, and I appreciate the nice welcoming champagne upon arrival. The unlimited self-served liquors are also generous, but the buffet food is underwhelming to me compared to the Capital One Lounge DFW next door.
