30+ Best Hawaii Resorts You Can Book For Free Nights With Points [2021]

Hawaii is an expensive destination when it comes to resort stays. This is one of the many reasons to utilize rewards points as they can save you a lot of money. 

Thankfully, there are hotels and resorts in Hawaii that are operating under hotel's rewards programs out there such as IHG, Hilton, Hyatt and Marriott that allow you to use reward points to redeem for a free stay in Hawaii. 

For the purpose of "Best Hawaii Resorts" in this post, I am not going to list all of the resorts there under each hotel's program. I'll pick a few good to best ones that are worth redeeming your hotel's points and yield maximized value in return when vacationing in Hawaii.

Oahu Island / Honolulu / Waikiki Resorts

While there are not many best Hilton and Hyatt resorts on Oahu island in Hawaii, there are several good and great Marriott resort options there, especially in the Waikiki area.

My favorite resort on Maui island is the Waldorf Astoria Resort - Grand Wailea that is part of the Hilton Honors program. Hyatt resorts would be my second choice but Marriott resorts are also as nice there.

Kauai Island Resorts

Kauai island is one of my favorite islands in Hawaii. There are a few resorts under both World of Hyatt and Marriott Bonvoy programs there that are totally worth the points!

Hilton Kauai Resorts

The only Hilton resorts on the Kauai island is the Hilton Garden Inn property. This is not the best resort by any means, but if you are looking to use Hilton Honors points to save money, this is the way to go.

Hawaii Island / Big Island / Kona Resorts

Hawaii Island (a.k.a The Big Island) has two parts: Lava Rocks or Sandy Beaches. You'll find a few resort options there that situate at either type of location. My favorite resort there has always been The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort.
