Amex Hilton Aspire Card Welcome Bonus Terms
First thing first, it is important to understand the American Express Hilton Aspire Card bonus terms & conditions. According to American Express:
Welcome offer not available to applicants who have or have had this Card. We may also consider the number of American Express Cards you have opened and closed as well as other factors in making a decision on your welcome offer eligibility.
You can earn Hilton Honors Bonus Points after you spend $4,000 (the “Threshold Amount”) on eligible purchases on your Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card in your first 3 months of Card Membership. Eligible purchases to meet the Threshold Amount for this offer include those made by both the Basic and Additional Card Members on the Card Account. Eligible purchases are purchases for goods and services minus returns and other credits. Eligible purchases to meet the Threshold Amount of this offer do NOT include fees or interest charges, balance transfers, cash advances, purchase of travelers checks, purchase or reloading of prepaid cards, purchases of gift cards, person-to-person payments, or other cash equivalents. Hilton Honors Bonus Points will be credited to your Hilton Honors account 8-12 weeks after the Threshold Amount has been reached.
How Fast Does the Amex Hilton Aspire Card Sign-Up Bonus Points Post?
As long as your purchases on your American Express Hilton Aspire Card are eligible purchases based on what’s described in Amex bonus terms and conditions above, you are entitled to the bonus Hilton Honors points. According to the terms, the bonus Hilton points should be credited to your Hilton account 8-12 weeks after you’ve met the spending requirement.
While the terms state so, but in reality, the time it takes American Express to have the sign-up bonus Hilton points posted to your Hilton Honors account is much faster than that 8-12 weeks. In fact, it only took 5 days. Here’s my timeline:
- May 9 – Spend $1,500 on American Express Hilton Aspire Card.
- June 1 – Spend $2,500 and pay off $1,500 balance.
- June 3 – Pay off the $2,500 balance.
- June 5 – 150,000 Bonus Hilton points were posted to the Hilton Honors account.
