The Preferred Club at Secrets Lanzarote Resort and Spa offers an exclusive experience. Club guests can access a dedicated lounge and resort areas that are unavailable to non-Preferred Club members.
As a World of Hyatt member, I used a Suite Upgrade Award to stay in their Preferred Club Junior Suite Oceanview. If you do not have the Hyatt’s suite upgrade award, you can still enjoy Preferred Club privileges by using a Club Access Award during your stay.
Secrets Lanzarote Resort’s Preferred Club Lounge Location and Access
There are two club locations regarding the Preferred Club at Secrets Lanzarote Resort and Spa:
- The Preferred Club lounge is on the 6th floor near the reception. It is quite small and provides snacks throughout the day, including soft drinks, bottled water, tea, and coffee. Your room key grants access to the lounge.
- Additionally, the resort features another area exclusively for Preferred Club guests, which includes a bar called The Lounge and a large beautiful outdoor swimming pool with several lounge chairs and umbrellas.
- There is no gate or controlled entry to this area, so anyone could potentially walk in despite the sign indicating it is for Preferred Club guests only. I don’t encourage you to go there without club access because one day, a staff member went around and verified each guest’s room number.
Preferred Club Hours at Secrets Lanzarote
Preferred Club Lounge Hours:
- You can access the Preferred Club Lounge on the 6th floor 24 hours with your room key.
Exclusive Preferred Club Pool and Area Hours:
- The Lounge bar opens at 10:30 AM until 6 PM.

Exclusive Access and Restaurants for Preferred Club Guests
As you can see from the information sheet above, Preferred Club guests at Secrets Lanzarote Resort and Spa have exclusive breakfast at the on-site Portofino restaurant between 8 AM and 8:30 AM.
Moreover, Preferred Club guests also have exclusive access to dine at the on-site Oceana restaurant for lunches between noon and 5 PM, daily.

Preferred Club Breakfast
As a Preferred Club guest, you have multiple options for breakfast. You can enjoy the buffet at the main World Cafe or dine at the exclusive Portofino restaurant, which offers both buffet and à la carte options specifically for club guests.
Please note that the Preferred Club Lounge near the reception does not serve breakfast.
Afternoon Snacks
The Preferred Club lounge on the 6th floor provides snacks throughout the day, including pastries in the morning and mini sandwiches and fruits in the afternoon, along with non-alcoholic beverages.
Preferred Club Dinner
There is no evening service available in the Preferred Club Lounge on the 6th floor. However, it’s worth noting that when you redeem World of Hyatt points for free night stays at Secrets Lanzarote Resort and Spa, the redemption rate includes unlimited all-inclusive board.
With the Preferred Club and the all-inclusive Unlimited Luxury Board Basis experience, you can dine at the main buffet restaurant or choose à la carte options at on-site restaurants such as the Italian Portofino or the Oceana Seafood restaurant. Be sure to check the hours on the Hyatt Inclusive Collection app for those restaurants.
It’s also worth mentioning that you do not need to make any dinner reservations at those restaurants.
Cocktails, Beers, and Wines
Preferred Club guests with an all-inclusive package, also known as Unlimited Luxury Board Basis, covers cocktails, beers, and wines. However, some drinks may incur additional fees, so it’s advisable to check the menu or ask your waiter for clarification. If there’s no price underneath the All-Inclusive Preferred section, as seen in the photo below, that means no extra charge for Preferred Club guests with all-inclusive board.
Spa Circuit Access
As a Preferred Club guest at Secrets Lanzarote Resort and Spa, you also receive complimentary one hour’s access to the Spa circuit per person per stay. You must make the reservation before going.
I did not truly enjoy the Spa at Secrets Lanzarote as much as I did at the Sheraton Fuerteventura Spa. My appointment was at 5 PM, and the spa was already busy because other resort guests can also pay to use the spa circuit.
The resort staff that worked at the spa were nice and warned us that we could not take any photos while using the spa. Therefore, you can refer to photos from the resort’s website instead.
Preferred Club Swimming Pool
The Preferred Club swimming pool is one of my favorite club amenities at Secrets Lanzarote Resort and Spa. It is shallow, large, and semi-heated. The pool’s design with the Lounge bar in the middle is really beautiful. There are also several lounge chairs and umbrellas throughout the pool’s area. More importantly, pool bar service was really attentive and the cocktails were great.
