Alua Suites Fuerteventura has an exclusive club known as My Favorite Club, which allows club guests (16+ years old) access to a dedicated club lounge area and restaurants in addition to the dining venues available for non-club guests. Therefore, that privilege requires an extra fee in addition to the base room rate. However, World of Hyatt members can either redeem points or apply one of the Hyatt Club Lounge Access Awards to the reservation free of charge.
Alua Suites Fuerteventura’s My Favorite Club
It is important to know that My Favorite Club at Alua Suites Fuerteventura does not necessarily mean a club lounge but rather a special privilege for hotel guests with club access to enjoy dedicated areas that are unavailable to the general public.
My Favorite Club consists of the following two main exclusive areas at Alua Suites Fuerteventura:
- An exclusive and gated entry area for club rooms, two swimming pools, a pool bar, and a lounge. Therefore, you need your room key to access that area, and you must be over 16 years old to be there.
- The on-site restaurant in the main building where the reception is. It is exclusively for club guests to enjoy a buffet and a la carte dinner every evening. You must check in with the staff, who will ask for your room number before you can seat yourself. It’s also worth mentioning that there’s no need to make a reservation for that restaurant.
My Favorite Club Access and Location
My Favorite Club at Alua Suites Fuerteventura is a secluded, adults-only (16+ years old) gated club with suite rooms, a dedicated area, two pools, a bar, and a lounge.
If your reservation has club access, the hotel staff will program your key to give you access to the gated My Favorite Club area. They will also give you a wristband with the My Favorite Club word on it to identify you as a club guest.
My Favorite Club is a separate building from the main reception building. To find it, follow the instructions below:
- Exit the reception’s main building.
- Walk past the fountain out front, then turn left.
- After that, turn another left.
- Then, quickly turn right. You will see the black gate with a bright blue My Favorite Club sign.
My Favorite Club Lounge Hours
The lounge inside the gated My Favorite Club area has the following hours:
- Breakfast: 7:30 AM to 11 AM
- Lunch: 12:30 PM to 3 PM
- Bar Service: 10:30 AM to 6 PM
Whereas the club restaurant inside the main building for dinner has the following hours:
- Dinner: 6:45 PM to 9:45 PM
- Cocktail: 8 PM to 11 PM
My Favorite Club Lounge Seats
The club lounge has several indoor and outdoor seats available. You can sit inside when the lounge serves a buffet breakfast. Otherwise, during the daytime, you can enjoy pool loungers and outdoor seats. There are also bar stools available because the lounge’s bar serves drinks, including alcoholic beverages. Afternoon lunch and snacks are also available.
My Favorite Club Swimming Pool
There are two outdoor swimming pools, both of which are heated. One pool is much smaller than the other, as it’s primarily for soaking, while the other is primarily for swimming. The pool area inside the club is private and much less busy than non-club family-friendly pools, making club access privilege very worthwhile in this instance.
Club Lounge Breakfast
Inside the club lounge, a buffet breakfast is available each morning. It includes enough hot and cold options, including coffee, tea, juices, and champagne, to make your mimosa.
While the breakfast options were redundant during my stay, having breakfast inside the club was more intimate and quiet. If you go before 8:30 AM, you may have the whole place to yourself!
Club Lounge Lunch
My Favorite Club lounge also serves lunch in the afternoon. It is buffet-style and offers a variety of protein and vegetarian options. A bartender is also available to serve drinks to accompany your lunch.
Afternoon Service
After lunchtime, the lounge offers afternoon service, which consists of fruits, mini sandwiches, cakes, and pastries for snacks. Drinks, of course, are also available.
Club Lounge Dinner
The club lounge does not serve dinner. Therefore, you will need to go to the My Favorite Club restaurant inside the main building to enjoy dinner.
In fact, Alua Suites Fuerteventura is all-inclusive, so you can go anywhere you want. However, I highly recommend the club restaurant instead of the super busy, crowded main buffet restaurant. There’s also another a la carte restaurant called ENYESQUE, but all guests must make a reservation the morning of the restaurant’s opening day. The staff starts taking reservations where the main buffet restaurant is at 9:30 AM, and let me tell you that go as early as possible if you want the first 6:30 PM seating. The queue can be long, and the second seating is at 8:30 PM. See ENEYESQUE’s menu below.
Cocktails, Beers and Wines
The club lounge bar inside the gated My Favorite Club closes at 6 PM. However, My Favorite Club restaurant has a cocktail service from 8 PM to 11 PM.
Alua Suites Fuerteventura is an all-inclusive resort, and therefore, all beverages are included in the package. However, it is important to review the drinks menu because certain liquor or wine are excluded from the all-inclusive package. When in doubt, you can ask the server or the bartender.
It’s also worth mentioning that cocktails at Alua Suites Fuerteventura are not good. Therefore, I would avoid that. Instead, you can tell the bartender what liquor you want and mix it with your favorite soda or tonic water. Regarding the drinks menu, if you see “AI” letters by the drink’s name, that means it’s included in the all-inclusive package without a surcharge.
Is My Favorite Club at Alua Suites Fuerteventura Worth It?
Alua Suites Fuerteventura is a family-friendly, all-inclusive hotel resort. Therefore, you can expect families to crowd the main restaurant and public swimming pools. That is inevitable. However, a room that includes My Favorite Club privilege will make your stay experience much better if an overrun by family resort is not your type of vacation.
My Favorite Club is secluded, 16+ years old and older, and offers exclusive lounges, swimming pools, bars, and restaurants that are not available to non-club guests. Therefore, I highly recommend you do everything in your power to get My Favorite Club access if you want to enjoy your time staying at Alua Suites Fuerteventura.
