ANA (All Nippon Airways) is a member of the Star Alliance. The ANA loyalty program, Mileage Club, remains one of the best programs that offers valuable redemptions. In addition, ANA Mileage Club also allows you to book an award ticket for someone else, such as a family member. However, there are some steps that you must take in order to accomplish that. Hereโ€™s how.

Booking ANA Award Flights For Family Member

The basics of booking an award flight on ANA for a family member involves the following:

  • Award User Registration.
    • The user does not have to be an ANA Mileage Club member.
  • Award Booking for a family member with or without the primary member.

ANA Award User Registration

In order to book an ANA award flight for someone else, you must register the person as an Award User. The steps are actually quite simple, but ensure that โ€œsomeoneโ€ is a family member to qualify. See the eligibility chart below:

  • Go to the Award User Registration page and sign into your ANA Mileage Club account.
  • Click on the red Register button to begin the registration process.
    • You will need the personโ€™s name, relationship, date of birth, gender, and title.
  • After filling in all the required fields, you click on the Submit button, and you finish.

You may continue registering additional family members using the same above-mentioned steps. The maximum number of users you can register is ten (10) users.

ANA Award Booking For Family Members

After you register the family member(s) as an award user, you can then book an award ticket for them. Please note that ANA flight awards support booking with or without you, the primary Mileage Club user, on the reservation. Hereโ€™s how:

  • Click on the Flight Awards, then Award Reservation.
  • A new window appears where you provide your search criteria.
  • Follow the screen until you reach the passenger information page.

You can combine ANA miles with family members only. To do so, you must set up the AMC Family Account Service, and your family member must be a member of it.

Moreover, after you combine the ANA miles through the AMC Family Account Service, you can redeem those miles for these types of awards:

  • Domestic Flight Awards
  • International Flight Awards
