Chase and United Airlines have announced new and better travel perks for United MileagePlus Cardmembers. The United Family of Cards from Chase is now giving the most value ever, with benefits like rideshare and Instacart credits, car rental and hotel rewards, special offers from top brands, and more.
To celebrate these updates, the United Family of Cards is offering unprecedented welcome bonuses for new card members. Additionally, the annual fees for each card also increased, which I will detail below.
Limited Time Welcome Offers
The following offers are available until May 7, 2025. Here’s a breakdown of the welcome offers:
- United Explorer Card: Earn 80,000 United MileagePlus bonus miles after spending $3,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months, with the annual fee waived for the first 12 months.
- United Quest Card: Earn 90,000 United MileagePlus bonus miles and 500 PQP after spending $4,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months.
- United Club Card: Earn 95,000 United MileagePlus bonus miles after spending $5,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months.
- United Business Card: Earn 125,000 United MileagePlus bonus miles after spending $5,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months.
- United Club Business Card: Earn 125,000 United MileagePlus bonus miles after spending $5,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months.
- United Gateway Card: Earn 30,000 United MileagePlus bonus miles after spending $1,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months, with 0% APR for the first 12 months.
Increased Annual Fees
- United Explorer Card: $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $150 (previously $95)
- United Quest Card: $350 (previously $250)
- United Club Card: $695 (previously $525)
- United Business Card: $150 (previously $99)
- United Club Business Card: $695 (previously $450)
- United Gateway Card: No annual fee
Enhanced Benefits
The new benefits, effective immediately for both new and existing United MileagePlus Cardmembers:
- United Explorer Card: This card offers up to $60 in rideshare credits, a $100 travel credit, and a complimentary three-month Instacart+ membership.
- United Quest Card: This card provides $200 in annual travel credits, a jumpstart on Premier status, and two global Economy Plus Upgrade Certificates.
- United Club Card: This card offers access to over 45 United Club locations, $150 in rideshare credits, and a club membership valued at $750.
- United Business Card: The card includes two Economy Plus upgrades, $100 in statement credits on hotel purchases, and the ability to earn PQPs through card spend.
- United Club Business Card: This card offers club access for the cardholder and a guest, along with significant travel perks.
- United Gateway Card: This card provides benefits like two free checked bags and savings on award flights.

When does the annual fee take effect?
- New annual fees and benefits will go into effect immediately, March 24, 2025, for new United MileagePlus Cardmembers.
- Existing card members will also see new benefits starting today, March 24, 2025.
- Annual fees for existing card members will change on or after August 1, 2025, at their next annual fee renewal date for all cards, except:
- United Explorer Card: The annual fee will change on or after January 1, 2026, at the card member’s next annual fee renewal date.
