After I finished visiting the LAX United Polaris Lounge at Terminal 7, I went to the Star Alliance First Class Lounge at Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) because I was flying ANA First Class, and ANA is a member of Star Alliance

The Star Alliance First Class Lounge at LAX is small and very quiet compared to the Star Alliance Business Class Lounge. While I love the Business Class Lounge, it always gets busy and overcrowded; therefore, being inside the First Class Lounge to enjoy the tranquility and receive more personal services is definitely better.

    Location

The Star Alliance First Class Lounge is in the same area as the Star Alliance Business Class Lounge. The easiest way to find it is to locate the P.F. Chang restaurant inside Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
After clearing the TSA security at TBIT, you walk to the open hall, turn left where the P.F. Chang restaurant is, and take the elevator to #6.

    Access

The Star Alliance First Class Lounge is exclusively for passengers traveling on Star Alliance airlines in First Class, such as All Nippon Airways (ANA). You cannot pay to access the lounge.

    Star Alliance Business Class Lounge

Star Alliance First Class Lounge guests can access the Star Alliance Business Class Lounge next door for more buffet food options and a bar. You can go between two lounges through the door in the back of the First Class Lounge and access more amenities, such as shower rooms.

    Seats

Star Alliance First Class Lounge is small, which makes it special: it is quiet and more relaxing than the Star Alliance Business Class Lounge next door. You can literally see the whole First Class Lounge in the photo below.

    Food

Food inside the Star Alliance First Class Lounge is a la carte, and you order off the menu from the lounge staff.
Here’s the menu they had at the time, and I ordered the Shrimp Cocktail and Korean Street Tacos, which were the perfect amount and delicious.

    Drinks

The drinks inside the Star Alliance First Class Lounge are self-served. You can ask the lounge attendant to make a drink for you if you’d like, but there are no bartenders or a bar inside the First Class Lounge. The bar is only available in the Business Class Lounge next door, where you also have access.

    Bathroom

There are two all-gender private bathrooms inside the First Class Lounge. However, there’s no shower room inside the First Class Lounge.

    Shower

The shower is only available in the Star Alliance Business Class Lounge. You have free access to the Business Class Lounge to reserve a shower room if you’d like.

    Wi-Fi

For Wi-Fi, simply connect to the Star Alliance Lounge with no password needed.

Star Alliance First Class Lounge Service

Service is not as good as when I visited the Star Alliance First Class Lounge while flying ANA First Class to Tokyo NRT. Perhaps they were short staff.
Upon arrival, no lounge staff was at the First Class Lounge door, and the Business Class Lounge staff had to assist me, offer the menu, and take food orders.

    Conclusion

While the Star Alliance First Class Lounge is small, I like its quiet and more relaxing than the Star Alliance Business Class next door. Being a guest of the First Class Lounge, you can also access the Business Class Lounge through the back door between the two lounges.
The Star Alliance First Class Lounge offers a la carte menu and unlimited self-serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Star Alliance Lounges are the best lounges at LAX for ANA Business and First Class passengers or any passengers flying with the Star Alliance.
