I was flying from Naha Airport (OKA) to Tokyo (HND) after I visited Okinawa Island in Japan, including my wonderful stay at the InterContinental ANA Ishigaki Island Resort.

Naha airport is not big, so I was surprised there was a JAL Sakura Lounge that I could use before my flight with Japan Airlines Business Class from Naha to Singapore via Tokyo
Below is a quick review of the JAL Sakura Lounge at Naha Airport:

    Location

Naha Airport (OKA) in Okinawa island is not big. After clearing security, you turn left, and the lounge is there. Make sure not to get on the automatic walkway, or you’ll have to walk back.

    Sakura Lounge Access & Hours

The Sakura Lounge is accessible if you are flying Japan Airlines in Business Class, holding any of the cards, such as Diamond, IG Premier, Sapphire, or having oneworld elite status.
The Sakura Lounge at Naha Airport opens from 6am-8pm.
There’s also a Diamond Premier Lounge, but it’s available for Japan Airlines First Class passengers. See the access photo below.

    Seats

The Sakura Lounge at Naha Airport is small, but given how small Naha Okinawa Airport is, it’s expected. I was leaving early flight so the lounge wasn’t overcrowded.
Plenty of seats are available, and both lounge chairs and stools are available. It may be a bit harder to find a seat when the lounge is crowded because the lounge size is not big.

    Food

I find it odd that the Sakura Lounge at Naha Airport doesn’t serve food. I’m unsure if it has to do with the early morning, but there’s no food, just refreshments.

    Drinks

As mentioned above, there is no food in the Sakura Lounge. But there are a variety of refreshment drinks from sodas, Okinawa’s special Shikuwasa Citrus drink, Okinawa’s Distilled Spirits, coffee, teas, you name it.

    Bathroom

The bathroom is clean and nicely equipped with a warm seat bidet. Each stall is somewhat more private, and the bidet even has a sound button!

    Telephone Rooms

Sakura Lounge at Naha Airport also has telephone rooms where you can call without disturbing other lounge guests.

    Wi-Fi

Internet Wi-Fi is available inside the lounge; no access code is needed. You just need to agree to the terms and conditions.

    Conclusion

Naha Airport (OKA) in Okinawa is not a big airport, and I did not expect a Sakura Lounge by JAL Airlines Group for Japan Airlines Business Class passengers. The lounge is fairly small and offers basic amenities for a quick stop. There’s nothing special about the lounge, including no food offerings, only refreshment drinks available inside the lounge.
