When I flew Hawaiian Airlines First Class from LAX to Honolulu, because Hawaiian Airlines terminal departure at LAX is the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT), and Hawaiian Airlines does not offer club lounges for their First Class passengers, I accessed the American Express Centurion Lounge instead through my American Express Platinum Card. The LAX centurion lounge is fully open with buffet food, a bar, a spa, and a nap room.

    Is LAX Centurion Lounge Open?

First, the American Express Centurion Lounge LAX had been delayed for quite some time in the opening. Fortunately, you will be happy to know it’s fully open and functional now at Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT)

    Amex Centurion Lounge LAX Location

    • The Centurion Lounge LAX is at Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT).
    • It is NOT located at Terminal 5 or Terminal 7.
    • After clearing TSA security at TBIT, turn to the immediate first left, and you will see the centurion lounge entrance sign is there.
    • If you walk to the Great Hall and see the sign above you (screenshot below), you’ve gone too far.

    • There’s no airside access from Terminal 1.

    Food

I was visiting the lounge in the morning, so they were serving breakfast. The breakfast is buffet-style and full of various hot and cold options, and the buffet breakfast is plenty for everyone!

    Drinks

Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available at the Centurion Lounge LAX complementarily.
There are two bars inside the American Express Centurion Lounge LAX. You can find the second bar to your right after entering the lounge, but I was told it only opens at 10:30am.

    LAX Centurion Lounge Spa

American Express Centurion Lounge LAX has a functional spa room with the following services:
    • The spa opens at 9am daily.
    • Free neck and shoulder massages for 15 minutes.
    • Need to book with the front desk.

    Nap Room

One thing that sets American Express Centurion Lounge LAX aside from other centurion lounges is the Nap Room
There’s no reservation required to use the nap room. The room is dark with a few lounge chairs, and the ceiling is mesmerizingly designed to make the environment relaxing for a quick nap.

    Multi-Purpose Room

As its name suggests, the multi-purpose room can be used for anything you’d like. It is considered a quiet room, perfect for any conference or calls you make without stepping out of the lounge or simply wanting a quiet environment to sit and relax.

    Shower Rooms

There are two shower rooms available inside the American Express Centurion Lounge LAX. One is ADA-friendly, and the other is not; a reservation is required to use the shower room.

    Bathroom/Toilet

Only two toilet stalls are available in the bathroom, each fully enclosed.

    Conclusion

I am impressed by the American Express Centurion Lounge LAX. At first, it was a little tricky to find at the Tom Bradley International Terminal, but the lounge is fully stocked with two bars and buffet food. The lounge is also bigger than it looks and comes with a spa and a nap room worth checking out. It was also nice to have a lounge before your flight’s departure, especially when you fly with Hawaiian Airlines First Class, which has no club lounge for premium class passengers at Los Angles International Airport (LAX)
