Walmart now offers a free Paramount+ Essential Plan subscription through Walmart+ membership. The benefit is now live, and the sign-up process is fairly quick and simple. 

In this article, I’ll show you step-by-step how to set up Paramount plus with Walmart plus and how you can get Walmart+ for free through the American Express Platinum Card. This will allow you to get free Walmart plus and Paramount plus subscriptions.

    Walmart plus membership now includes a free Paramount plus subscription benefit:
    • The benefit is now available, starting in September 2022. 
    • Walmart+ includes a free Paramount+ Essential Plan only, which comes with ads. 
      • There are two Paramount+ subscriptions: Essential and Premium.
        • The Essential plan has ads and costs $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year.
        • The Premium plan has no ads and costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
    • The benefit is valid as long as you remain a Walmart+ member
    • The benefit applies to both trial and active paid Walmart+ members
    • A credit card is NOT required to sign up for Paramount+ through Walmart+ membership. 

    How to Set Up Paramount Plus With Walmart Plus?

    Setting up Paramount plus with Walmart plus is quick and simple. Follow the steps below to successfully get your FREE Paramount plus subscription account through Walmart plus:
    • Sign in to your Walmart+ account online
    • Scroll down, and you will see Video Streaming with Paramount+ under Your W+ Benefits section. See the screenshot below. 
    • Click on the How streaming works button. 
    • Click on the blue Get Paramount+ button. 
    • Follow the page to create your Paramount+ account

    • You do not have to provide credit card information when creating your Paramount+ account through Walmart+.

    Do you need a credit card to sign up for Paramount plus with Walmart? 

    No. Paramount+ sign-up page does not require nor store any credit card information in your Paramount+ account that is set up through Walmart+ membership. 

    Does this benefit apply to existing Paramount plus subscribers?

    Yes, however, you must first cancel your existing Paramount+ account or wait until your final billing cycle is complete, then set up a new Paramount+ account through Walmart+ as outlined in the steps above. Unfortunately, you cannot use the existing Paramount+ account to sign up through Walmart+. 

    How to log into Paramount plus through Walmart plus?

    There’s no separate website to log into Paramount+ through Walmart+. 
    All you need to do is set up your Paramount plus account with Walmart, as outlined in the steps above. Once that’s completed, you can visit the Paramount+ website or download the Paramount+ app and immediately enjoy streaming your favorite shows.

    By paying the difference, can I upgrade from Paramount Plus Essential to the Premium plan?

    No. It is impossible to upgrade from the Essential plan to the Premium plan. Your Paramount plus account is subscribed and billed through your Walmart plus membership, and Paramount has no control over that. 

    Is Paramount plus available for Walmart + trial members?

    Yes. All active trial and paid Walmart + members can enjoy the Paramount+ Essential Plan subscription for free.

    The American Express Platinum Card offers complimentary monthly Walmart+ membership for card members:

    Is Amex Platinum Card worth it?

    American Express Platinum Card is Amex’s premium card with a hefty annual fee of $695. However, don’t let that high annual fee scares you away yet. Let’s take a closer look at the card’s benefits to ensure the card is worth having because it makes no sense to pay a $695 card simply to have a $12.95 Walmart+ membership that includes a free Paramount+ subscription.

That’s enough to pay for the card’s $695 annual fee.
