Marriott Bonvoy program now allows Marriott free night certificate top off with up to 15,000 points. You can now use your Marriott free night certificate and add points to it for a free night's redemption at a Marriott property where the redemption level is more than what your free night certificate is worth.Â

Can You Convert Marriott Free Night Certificate To Points?
First, the Marriott Bonvoy program does not allow members to convert Marriott's free night certificate to points, and you must use the free night award certificate by its expiration date.Â
You can, however, redeem Marriott's free night certificate plus points (up to 15,000 points). This is known as the Marriott Free Night Award Top Off feature available to all Marriott Bonvoy members.Â
How Does Marriott Free Night Certificate Top Off Work?
Here are the basics of how the Marriott Free Night Award Top Off feature works:
- The maximum amount of points you can top off each Marriott's free night certificate is 15,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.Â
- You can combine multiple free night certificates with up to 15,000 points for each certificate to book multiple nights in one reservation.Â
- The top-off feature is currently only available on the MARRIOTT website using the web browser on the computer's desktop.Â
- You will get back your certificate and points if you cancel your reservation that uses the free night certificate with top-off within the cancellation window.Â
- You can view more Marriott Free Night Award Top Off FAQs here.
