If you are looking for American Express Membership Rewards (MR) credit cards with no annual fee or small annual fee that allow you to keep all your Amex points from being forfeited after canceling a high annual fee Amex card such as the American Express Business Platinum Card or the consumer American Express Platinum Card, yet still gives you the flexibility to transfer your Amex points to frequently flyer miles or hotel points, then consider Amex EveryDay credit cards.

Please keep in mind that American Express generally has a once-per-lifetime term when it comes to earning their card's welcome bonus points. So be strategic and apply for an Amex card that you want when the sign-up offer is high. 30,000 MR bonus points for Amex EveryDay Preferred credit card is as high as it gets. After one year, you can always downgrade to the no annual fee credit card if you do not want to keep paying for the $95 annual fee.
