The Offer
Now from July 1 through July 31, get Uber credits back using your Visa credit card (does not have to be Uber credit card) around town at a participating restaurant or store. You will receive % of purchase back to your Uber account. My offer ranges from 5% to 10% back.
Enrollment
Launch the Uber app and at the bottom on the screen, you should see “Messages” where it says “Visa Local Offers for July 1 – 31”. Follow the screen to get started.
Once the enrollment process is completed, you can search for places in your area. You can view each offer’s requirement in terms of the maximum amount you will receive back in rewards for your purchase by tapping on each participating place. $20 max seems to be the standard. Your purchase needs to be done by August 1.
Bottom Line
This is an easy way to get Uber credits for things that you are already doing in your area. If you have Visa card that earns cash back or points back such as Chase Sapphire Reserve that earns 3% cash back on shared rides such as Uber, that’s a really nice double dip opportunity.
